Lecture Theater

Most lectures and guest presentations occur in our 30 seat lecture theater. Part of our curriculum includes film study and project analysis, so the theater is equipped with a 5 channel surround sound system and a top of the line projector.

Chris Nelson

Character Animation Instructor

Chris has been pushing polygons ever since he discovered VideoScape 3D in 1988. He was inspired with the idea of making the next Star Wars on his Amiga.

After a four-year stint in the Air Force he bought a Video Toaster, and the rest is history. His experience includes everything from broadcast, scientific visualization, forensic animation, to the gaming industry.

Recently, Chris worked for NASA developing digital content and animation. He also mentored area high school students as they created a series of character shorts.
