The purpose of this Block is to give students a thorough understanding of computer animation. Students who complete this term will have a solid understanding of camera animation, parent/child hierarchies in rigging, character rigging, character animation, facial animation, lip syncing, and motion capture for film and gaming.

Animation requires a combination of art, technical and organizational skills. In this course you will learn to make your animations simple and expressive. Topics such as timing and key poses are covered. You will learn to make your character animation simple and expressive. You will know how to reveal attitude, emotions and mood through a character’s movement and behavior, creating memorable characters that will have appeal.
