For the past 13 years the DAVE School has delivered a rare educational opportunity that sets our grads apart from nearly every other school. It begins with quality skills building and ends with an unheard of quarter long production experience where the class works together to create a short film. The employers who hire our graduates appreciate that they know more than just the expected artistic skills, they know how to work at a company.
About two years ago we wondered if we could bring that same philosophy to the gaming industry. Can The School That Makes Movies also be The School That Makes Games? We began speaking to a variety of game modelers, animators, level designers, and more recently their CEO’s and hiring managers, to find out exactly what they are looking for in entry level employees. They had a lot to say and we listened. We were also surprised to hear that although there are literally hundreds of schools with game programs, few if any take time to ask them what they need.
After countless planning and design sessions with our staff, instructors, student, graduates, and consultants from across the gaming industry, we have another amazing program that we can’t wait to share. You won’t be able to read about it on this website until we re-launch this site in mid-August, but students are already enrolling for our September 30th start, and our admissions reps are ready to answer any question you might have. And as always, the best way to learn about the school and both our programs is to come for a tour!
Once again, DAVE School graduates and instructors have been nominated for a very special award....
