DAVE School at MegaCon 2007!

The DAVE School recently attended MegaCon 2007 in Orlando, FL. What is MegaCon your asking? Its a giant Sci-Fi, Anime and Fantasy convention located at the Orange County Convention Center every year.

The DAVE School had a booth set up with videos playing of the student made movies. The Booth also had students doing live demos of projects they were working on for on-lookers. Lee Stringer was on hand showing people how to model various things as well!

The NASA Seals student-made game made its presence well known at the booth as a constant stream of anxious onlookers waited for their chance to play it!

The game created by students was based off of the NASA Seals movie. Using the models created for the movie, they scaled them down to the standards required to make a video game and using the Unreal engine, created the NASA Seals environment. You could now join in the battle between the NASA Seals and the Scions seen in the movie just to the side of the game station!

A group of students volunteered to dress up as the NASA Seals for the convention. Saturday and Sunday there were NASA Seals wandering around MegaCon talking to people about the DAVE School. They were constantly getting their pictures taken!

MegaCon 2007 was a great experience for everyone that attended. If you didnt attend, dont worry, you can always come take a tour of the school or plan on catching us next year at MegaCon 2008!
