Dave School Graduate Terry Henry recently joined his fellow alumnus Michael Davidson on the visual effect crew of Battlestar Galactica. Terry has been hired as a Junior CGI Artist in the show's production office on the lot of Universal Studios Hollywood. "This job is a wonderful opportunity, the experience here is overwhelming. I basically help check for errors in frames and shot breakdowns, and keep the database updated. No artist work yet, but I'm happy and I know it will come," Terry said.
Terry is augmenting the work of graduate Michael Davidson who started in that position, but quickly took on additional responsibilities on behalf of the show. "I am in charge of shot breakout for all the CGI elements (except the Cylon Centurions) as well as overseeing the render farm and the assimilation of the rendered assets for our compositors," said Davidson. "I also create some of the Fleet establishing shots for the show, two of which just aired in Episode Four this season."
Michael continues, "Without a doubt, I am working on this production because of my time at the DAVE School learning the aspects of what a real production is all about from the amazing staff that Jeff has assembled. I have always

believed that the best learning comes from doing and at The DAVE School I learned the necessary skills and attitudes that are required by the Industry. Terry adds, "The DAVE School has given me opportunities I would have never imagined. I mean, I work on the back lot of NBC/Universal, for a primetime television series! Battlestar Galactica is awesome, so everyone needs to watch it!" Now in its third season, the show airs Fridays on the Sci-Fi Channel.
