Block 1's Bionicle Project

Block 1 students recently finished working on a project based around Lego's Bionicles. It was a team project where each student was responsible for a certain component of a specific Bionicle. Each team lead was required to make sure that everyone followed proper procedures; and that each part was made to scale and fit together for the final Bionicle.

Graduate Doug Brown in HDRI!
Douglas Brown, DAVE School Graduate, was recently published in HDRI 3D Magazine Issue #11. He wrote an article about his American Bullfrog project and how he acheived it. Doug talks about how he references, plans and pipelines his projects and how constructive criticism helps to raise your skill level.

Doug is quoted saying, "If you can pull it off, in the end you should have a great piece to be proud of to add to your demo reel. There should be a lot of things you have learned for your next project.. That's the great thing about being a 3D artist, the tips, tricks and technology are constantly evolving, and we as artists evolve with it."
